The retail tractor sales for the above 50 HP segment are 19,464 units, and the sales of below 50 HP tractors in India for FY 2025-26 are 10,11,431. It shows a drastic difference of 9,91,967 units. This data revealed the higher interest of buyers in tractors below 50 HP.

Retail Tractor Sales Above 50 HP in FY 2025-26

Mahindra Tractors sold the highest 7,071 tractors in the Above 50 HP segment and topped the list with 36.33% market share, indicating sustained leadership throughout FY 2026.
John Deere gave tough competition to Mahindra and sold 6,825 units, which was 35.06% of the total market share.
Swaraj sold a total of 1,837 tractors, which is 9.44% market share in the YTD period.
New Holland jumped to the 4th place with sales of 1,613 units and 8.29% of market share.
Sonalika sold 1,081 units, with a market share of 5.55%, and has a steady demand in FY 2025-26.

The cumulative sales by these 5 major brands in FY 2025-26 cover the 94.67% market, with total sales of 19,464 units.

Retail Tractor Sales Below 50 HP in FY 2025-26

Mahindra is also the leader in the Below 50 HP tractor segment with sales of 2,42,815 units, making 24.01% of total sales.
Swaraj proved its consistency and came second with 1,95,120 units, holding 19.29% market share.
Sonalika came 3rd by selling 1,32,946 units and capturing 13.14% of the market.
Escorts Kubota sold 1,20,551 units and had a market share of 11.92%, showcasing a consistent demand in the market.
Massey Ferguson has 11.67% market share in the Below 50 HP segment by selling a total of 1,18,042 units in FY 2025- 26.

Overall, these 5 brands represent over 80% of the overall number of tractors sold (10,11,431
units) in the Below 50 HP range in FY 26.

The YTD tractor retail data clearly shows that the below 50 HP tractor segment dominates the market, while the above 50 HP segment remains highly competitive. Going forward, the current above normal reservoir levels across the country, with improved farm sentiment, will remain key factors for the sales in the current financial year.
